Prusikin Mikhail Olegovich
Mikhail Olegovich Prusikin (born January 19, 1978, Kharkov) – German chess player, grandmaster (2004). Trainer.
Career
He started playing chess at the age of five in his hometown.
In 1995 he came with his mother and stepfather as a quota refugee to Germany. There he joined a chess club and earned his first Elo rating.
In 1998 he was awarded the title of International Master (IM).
In 1999 he won the Young Masters Tournament in Zug, .
In 2000 he became the champion of Bavaria and for the first time participated in the German championship, where he took fourth place, in the same year he received a diploma in the specialty of a teacher.
In early 2004, he received the title of Grandmaster, fulfilled all standards, in the 2nd Bundesliga 2000/01, at the GM tournament in Griesheim in January 2003 and the GM tournament in Miskolc in March 2004.
In 2005 he finished ninth in the individual German championship and was a member of the German national team in the Mitropa Cup. He participated in the Mitropacup six times and won it in 2011 at Merlimont.
In February 2015, he took 30th place in the ranking of Germany.
In 2012 he was awarded by the German Chess Federation as coach of the year.
Since 2017 he has been conducting his own column in the Chess magazine.
